Vegan Philly Cheesesteak

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 8 oz vegan "steak," like Beyond Steak (by Beyond Meat)
  • cup mushrooms
  • ½ onion
  • 2 bell peppers
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon chili lime seasoning blend (I found this one at trader joe’s - but any chili powder works)
  • 3 slices vegan smoked gouda (I use Follow Your Heart brand)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • french rolls

Instructions
 

  • Simmer onions, peppers, garlic, and salt with avocado oil in a large skillet over low heat until soft.
  • Then, add in your vegan seitan and mushrooms and cook until browned.
  • Lastly, add the slices of cheese to the pan and cook until melted.
  • Now, it's time to assemble the sandwiches. Add the cooked seitan and all other cooked ingredients into the roll.
  • Add hot sauce or any other topping if desired.
