Vegan Hot Chocolate

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • ΒΌ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • vegan marshmallows

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan, combine the almond milk and cocoa powder. Whisk until smooth and free of any lumps.
  • Place the pan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Do not boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until slightly thickened.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness or spices as desired.
  • Pour the hot chocolate into your mug and top with marshmallows.
