    This vegan chocolate chip banana bread recipe is one of my absolute favorites. It’s made with all-purpose flour, ripe bananas, dairy-free chocolate chips, coconut oil, and more! This moist banana bread is flavorful and perfect for breakfast, as a snack, or for dessert.

    Seriously, this easy banana bread recipe the best of both worlds for chocolate lovers and banana bread fanatics. Plus, it’s the perfect way to use up overripe bananas. The chocolate chips melted in the batter create a gooey and decadent loaf. Whether you’re starting your day with a warm slice or sneaking a bite during your afternoon break, this healthy banana bread recipe will hit the spot.

    • Customizable: This recipe is your playground! Gluten-free? No problem! Swap out flour for a gluten-free substitute, ditch the coconut oil, or add nuts for extra crunch. 
    • Chocolate chip heaven: Each bite is a treasure hunt for gooey, dairy-free chocolate chips, adding a rich, decadent counterpoint to the banana flavor.
    • Guilt-free indulgence: Made with plant-based milk, natural sweeteners, and wholesome ingredients, you can indulge in this bread for breakfast, a snack, or even dessert.

    How to Make Vegan Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

    To get started, preheat the oven for 350 degrees. Get out a mixing bowl and add in the dry ingredient first. Stir lightly, then slowly add the wet ingredients and mix well. Line a bread pan with parchment paper and pour the mixture into the pan. Make sure the parchment paper is lined evenly.

    On top, I love to go overboard with loads of mini chocolate chips. However, feel free to add as many or few as you like. Another great option if you’re not feeling the chocolate is to top the loaf with a healthier alternative like walnuts or pumpkin seeds. Once the toppings have been added, the batter is ready to bake. Place the pan in the oven for at least 60 minutes, checking on it about halfway through.


    The mixture of brown sugar, bananas, and chocolate gives this dairy-free dessert a soft texture and sweet taste. Like with all baked goods, I love to enjoy a slice of this chocolate chip banana bread with a cup of hot coffee. You can store this bread in the fridge for up to two weeks. Enjoy!     Ingredients
      

    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • ½ cup cane sugar
    • ½ cup brown sugar
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 3 teaspoon baking powder
    • 4 medium-sized bananas
    • ½ cup almond milk
    • 3 tablespoon coconut oil
    • 1 cup chocolate chunks
    • ½ cup chocolate chips

    Instructions
     

    • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
    • In a large mixing bowl, add the flour, cane sugar, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, and baking powder. Mix well.
    • Add the bananas, almond milk, and coconut oil, and mix until combined.
    • Add in the chocolate chunks, leaving the chocolate chips to put on top.
    • Pour the batter into a 9 X 5 inch bread pan lined with parchment paper.
    • Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top and put in the oven.
    • Bake for 65-70 minutes or until golden brown.
    • Let sit for 10 minutes, then slice and enjoy!
