I grew up in the Midwest, where my love for food first took root. I moved to California at eighteen, where I was exposed to a vibrant culinary scene. I learned about the importance of fresh, locally sourced ingredients, which continues to influence my approach to recipe development. Determined to improve my culinary and baking skills, I attended Bay Area culinary school Bauman College, where I graduated from the Holistic Chef program, specializing in plant-based cuisine.
Alongside my culinary pursuits, I earned a BA in English from UC Berkeley, which tied together my love for reading, creative writing, and literary analysis. This academic background sharpened my writing abilities, helping me create recipes and stories that celebrate vegan cooking.
Beyond the kitchen, you can usually find me exploring nature, taking road trips, spending time by the ocean, or with a book or pen in hand. You can always find me with my Newfoundland dog, Malachi.
